Manus Bio is a privately-held, next-generation industrial biotechnology company with locations in Augusta, GA and Cambridge MA.  We use a variety of patented and proprietary technologies for engineering microbes for the production of specialty chemicals, such as food ingredients, agricultural chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.  We are seeking a motivated individual for a Director of Accounting/Controller position. This person will be expected to tackle a variety of challenges as an integral part of Manus Bio’s finance team located in Augusta, GA.

  • Maintain and oversee accounting systems including implementation and monitoring of business processes and financial controls
  • Manage day to day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Inventory and Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Payroll and other transactions.
  • Monthly and annual close process and financial reporting
  • Prepare materials and reports for annual audit and tax preparation
  • Play a key role in our upcoming ERP/systems upgrade


Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced accounting degree
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5 years + experience in a senior accounting role in a manufacturing organization, including managing other team members
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
