Manus Bio is a next-generation industrial biotechnology company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts that produces plant-based ingredients.  We use a variety of patented and proprietary technologies to engineer microbes for the production of specialty chemicals, such as food ingredients, agricultural chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.  We are seeking a highly motivated Analytical Chemist with experience with various analytical methodology. The position involves conducting hands-on QC analyses as well as developing and validating HPLC methods. This hands-on position requires a desire and ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as the demonstration of a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative applied to the various duties and aspects of the position. This person will be expected to play an integral part of Manus Bio’s process development team located in Augusta, GA.

  • Performs sample preparation, sample extraction and analyses.
  • Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Develop, document and validate analytical methods, primarily HPLC/GC, in a Food GMP regulated environment.
  • Generate SOP's, reports and other regulated documentation.
  • Ensure lab instruments remain calibrated and in good working order.
  • Maintains a safe chemical laboratory environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree and 3yr of bench experience.
  • Experience with industrial operation is a plus.
  • Experience in Food GMP environment is a plus.
  • Experience with other instrumentation (LC/MS, NMR, GC/FID, GC/MS, etc.) or wet chemistry techniques is a plus.
